we recently completed a build on a Chevrolet Silverado 1500, turning it into a rugged and capable touring machine. Combining advanced technology, premium accessories, and practical modifications, this build showcases our ability to create vehicles ready for any adventure.

  • Offroad creative front bar. This is in a custom powder coat we organised to match the tray and canopy. we opted for 2 spotlight tabs and camera re-location

  • Ready to to with Anderson plugs, and 12 pin wiring setup for the caravan

  • Running Method MR305 NV wheels wrapped in 35 inch Maxxis Razr tyres

  • Touring Solutions Australia 4.2T GVM Upgrade

  • Carbon Offroad 15K Tank winch

  • Onboard ARB twin compressor with 7m air reel

COMMUNICATIONS

  • GMEXRS-370C4P UHF radio pack.

  • Outback Comms starlink Gen 3 kit. These boast an impressive 200m wifi range. For anyone running a business while they are on the road this is an absolute must have.

SLEEPING QUARTERS

  • The Bush Company AX27 Roof top tent

  • The Bush Company TX27MAX awning

BATTERIES & BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

  • Redarc BMS12075 ALPHA Battery Management System.

  • 400AH Lithium battery power in the canopy.

  • 3000W Redarc inverter with shore power changeover.

  • 360W of solar on the roof top tent maintaining the auxiliary batteries in the canopy.

  • Shore power inlet on the rear of the canopy.

  • Redarc water tank level sender units for precise monitoring.

  • Ties in to additional auxiliary battery system behind the rear seat. Includes change over switch for charging system

LIGHTING

  • Lazer Lamps Sentinal 9 spotlights up front

  • on the rear of the canopy we mounted some Roadvision 20W Flood lights

  • Stedi LED lighting in the front bar. These are a standard inclusion with the Offroad creative front bars

  • Interior canopy lighting with dimmable functionality and amber/white colour modes for convenience.

SWITCHING SYSTEMS

For control on this build we have kept it simple. For the spotlights and rear worklights we just have some switches inside the cabin.

In the canopy we have utilised the readarc Rogue TVMS1240. This provides a cost effective solution for circuit protection and gives us control for all our auxiliary loads.

  • 1700mm X 2000mm canopy. This is a custom configuration based off a D-2-DB configuration. We have removed the drawer bench on the front

  • On the left side, 130L Bushman upright fridge, The signature GCI Traytec camp kitchen with the appliance pantry above. In the middle the standard pantry.

  • On the drivers side this customer opted to keep the canopy open to save weight and provide a better option for larger items

  • On the rear wall we have gone for the A-S configuration.

  • We have opted the over hanging roof rack for this customer. This is perfect for when using a Roof top tent. This also gives us a great location for auxiliary lighting

  • GT1 Tray base | 2000mm x 2000mm.

  • Drop down tool box left and drawer right.

  • 120L of water plumbed into an electric water pump.

  • 1200mm trundle drawer with stainless lift up bench

  • Includes all parking sensor re-location
